The Austen Book Bag has a simple look and is easy to make. It's very customizable and perfect for book lovers.

This bag is 3 out of 5 star difficulty. It's fairly simple, but requires precision. The most difficult part is making sure all pieces are exact and where they need to be. You will need basic sewing skills as well as the following:

• Zippers
• Hardware
• Understitching
• A lot of patience to be precise
• Knowledge of materials
• Time, to enjoy the journey of making this bag

Materials:

•   FH of Exterior Fabric
• FH of Interior Fabric
• Interfacing as needed
• FQ - FH of Decovil Heavy, Peltex, or Foam (Do not use Peltex if turning out)
• 1" Vinyl strips for Binding 63" (if binding)
• Edge paint materials (if edge painting)
• 2, #5 Zipper Tape 11" and 8"
• 2, # 5 Zipper Pull 
• 2, 1" Wide Rectangle / D-Ring
• 1" Wide Slide Adjuster
• Webbing / Strap 45" (short) or 57" (long)
• Magnet closure
• Zipper end

About the Pattern

This product is a digital download. It is a PDF pattern, not a physical product! Once payment has been processed, you will receive an e-mail with a link to download the files electronically. 

The download includes 4 files. Files include instructions and the pattern in layers coordinating with size. They can be opened with a program that opens PDF, the recommended program to use is Adobe Reader (free!). With Adobe Reader, you can select layers. 

PDF Tutorial: Interactive and full color. This file has all the information you need on how to make this pattern.

US Letter 8.5" x 11": The pattern will fit a US Letter size paper that you can print at your home printer. You must glue or tape the papers together.

A0 Print (36" x 48") : The pattern is on one page, you must send this file to a print shop for them to print. You will not have to glue or tape the papers together.

Projector: Specifically designed for projector use. You'll be able to easily use the pattern on your projector.

Usage and Refunds

This pattern (all files included in this sale) may not be sold, distributed, or shared. Small business owners may sell finished handmade items using this pattern. This pattern may not be used for mass manufacturing.
