The Zora Messenger is a stylish bag made to fit even the largest laptops. Take it with you to work, school, or traveling. It is backpack convertible for easy carry.

Level of difficulty for this pattern is 4 out of 5 with semi-industrial and industrial machines. Domestic machine is not recommended. You know your machine best! It requires basic sewing skills along with knowledge and experience in the following:

• Zippers
• Hardware
• Binding

Materials:

• 1-2 yards of exterior fabric (woven/canvas/vinyl)
• 1 yard of interior fabric (woven/canvas)
• Clear vinyl (16-20 gauge/ 0.4 - 1mm)
• Interfacing for woven fabrics
• Foam or similar (helps protect laptop)
• Decovil heavy or similar
• Decovil light or similar
• 1” Webbing for backpack (Two 40") (or create your own)
• 1.5” Webbing for shoulder (57") (or create your own)
• 1/4" width elastic (at least 13”)
• 3, #5 zipper pulls & zipper tape (8”, 18”, and 21”)
• 1 , #3 zipper pull & zipper tape (10”)
• 1 zipper end
• 2 sets of side release buckles (1” inner)
• 2 square rings (1” inner)
• 4 D-rings or similar (1” inner)
• 1 O/D-ring (1" inner) - for backpack
• 4 strap slider or similar (1” inner) – 2 backpack straps, optional 2 for front Flap straps
• 1 strap slider or similar (1.5” inner) – for the shoulder straps
• 2 snap hook (1.5” inner) – for shoulder straps
• 4 snap hooks (1" inner) - for backpack straps
• *Optional: rivets, strap ends, and other decorative hardware

About the Pattern

This product is a digital download. It is a PDF pattern, not a physical product! Once payment has been processed, you will receive an e-mail with a link to download the files electronically. 

The download includes 4 files. Files include instructions and the pattern in layers coordinating with size. They can be opened with a program that opens PDF, the recommended program to use is Adobe Reader (free!). With Adobe Reader, you can select layers. 

PDF Tutorial: Interactive and full color. This file has all the information you need on how to make this pattern.

US Letter 8.5" x 11": The pattern will fit a US Letter size paper that you can print at your home printer. You must glue or tape the papers together.

A0 Print: The pattern is on one page, you must send this file to a print shop for them to print. You will not have to glue or tape the papers together.

Projector: Specifically designed for projector use. You'll be able to easily use the pattern on your projector.

Usage and Refunds

This pattern (all files included in this sale) may not be sold, distributed, or shared. Small business owners may sell finished handmade items using this pattern. This pattern may not be used for mass manufacturing.
